General Rules

1. Only one entry per envelope.
2. Each non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ instant ticket #291 constitutes one (1) Second Chance Drawing entry.
3. A player may enter as many non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ instant tickets as he or she wishes.
4. Each entry is to be filed in one individual's name only.
5. All entries in a drawing, whether submitted through the mail or on the Internet, have an equal chance of winning a prize.
6. Odds of winning any prize in any Second Chance Drawing will vary depending upon the number of entries received for the drawing.
7. Limit of one prize per person per drawing. Any duplicate winners in any one drawing will have the duplicate entry returned for subsequent drawings.
8. Entries submitted after the deadline for any drawing will be placed in the next subsequent drawing.
9. Entries not selected as winners in any one drawing will be entered into the next scheduled drawing.
10. Entries received after the final entry deadline (to be announced) will not be eligible for any Second Chance Drawing prizes.
11. All prize winners will be notified by telephone and/or email by the Rhode Island Lottery.
12. Ticket Prize Packages will be redeemed by the winning players at the Rhode Island Lottery Headquarters. Ticket prize package winners will have ten (10) business days to claim their prize from the date they are first contacted by the Rhode Island Lottery. The winner of the $100,000 cash prize will have 365 days to claim their prize from the announced end of game.
13. Players who enter online must retain their non-winning ticket entries as proof of eligibility and provide the original ticket to claim their prize should they be selected as a winner.
14. Winners' names and hometowns will be posted on the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing website following the validation of winners after each drawing.
15. Only entries mailed and received at the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing address listed below, as well as, on the back of the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ instant ticket, or entries submitted on the Internet are eligible. Entries received at any other address or website are not eligible.
16. Non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ tickets that have been entered on the Internet are NOT eligible to be mailed in as entries. Non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ tickets that have been mailed in as entries are NOT eligible to be entered on the Internet.
17. All drawing dates are subject to change with adequate advance public notice.
18. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of non-cash Second Chance prizes, provided that, in the event of cancellation of any or all of the Patriots™ Games, the Rhode Island Lottery, in the Lottery’s sole discretion, may substitute cash or a prize of equivalent value to winners of those prizes.

Mail-In Entries

To enter the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing players mail in ONE (1) non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ tickets, per envelope, along with their name, mailing address, daytime phone number, date of birth and email address (email address is optional) clearly printed on or securely attached to the entry ticket, to:

Only one entry per envelope will be allowed. Entries received at any other address will not be eligible. It is the responsibility of each player to properly remit to the above address by U.S. Mail any eligible non-winning tickets prior to the announced cut off date for each drawing.

Internet entries

To enter the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing via the Internet, players must go to http://patriotsrilottery.com, click on the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing icon and enter the thirteen (13) digit serial number found under the latex on the front of their non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ ticket, game #291. The first three digits of the 13 digit serial number will always be 291. Players who enter online must retain their non-winning ticket entries as proof of eligibility and provide the original ticket to claim their prize should they be selected as a winner. The Lottery shall not accept entries submitted by any method other than the U. S. Mail or Internet as set forth in these rules.

Internet Entry Rules

 

1. To be eligible to enter Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawings on the internet, players must go to http://patriotsrilottery.com and click on Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing icon.
2. You must enter the ticket numbers from one (1) non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ ticket for each entry. The ticket number is the 13-digit number that is found on the front of the ticket under the latex scratch off area. The first three digits of the number will always be 291 for the Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawing and are already entered for you.
3. The number from any ticket may be entered only one time.
4. INTERNET PLAYERS MUST RETAIN THE TICKETS THEY SUBMIT AS PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY TO CLAIM THEIR PRIZE SHOULD THEY BE SELECTED AS WINNERS.
5. Internet winners of Ticket Prize Packages will be sent e-mails and/or contacted by phone by the Rhode Island Lottery with prize claim instructions.
6. If your Internet entry is selected in drawing #1 through drawing #4 as a Ticket Prize Package winner, you will be required to produce the ticket with the numbers that match the numbers you entered on the Internet within ten (10) business days from the date you are first contacted by the Rhode Island Lottery. If you are unable to produce the tickets by that time the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner, according to the Lottery’s established drawing procedures.
7. If your Internet entry is selected in drawing #5 for the $100,000 cash prize, you will be contacted by phone and/or email, and you will be required to produce the ticket with the numbers that match the numbers that you entered on the Internet within 365 days from the announced end of game.
8. The Internet entry deadline for each of the five (5) Rhode Island Lottery Patriots™ Second Chance Drawings is Midnight Eastern Time on the night of the announced Entry Deadline.
